Dr Lafferty has a passion for assessing and carrying out revision (repair) surgery to rectify poor results from previous surgery.
Foot surgery has markedly advanced in in recent years and good long term results are now achieved with much smaller incisions and greatly reduced recovery times. This was not the case in previous years and had left many people in the community with poor results or only temporary success.
As I only specialise in foot and ankle surgery I sadly see many patients who present at my rooms with poor outcomes looking for help. This has become an important aspect of my work now and an aspect I find very rewarding.
I will analyse the current foot structure and function and in most cases a plan can be made to rectify the problem caused by the previous surgery.
